MEET MRS. MCGUCKIN

My genuine love and enthusiasm for learning is infectious. I believe having a positive and energetic attitude helps keep students motivated to challenge themselves. Connecting with, and spending my days teaching amazing children isn’t just a job, it’s spiritually fulfilling for me in a way that words simply cannot describe.  

As a coach and mentor, I teach my students to be creative through risk taking, and accept that failures are opportunities for tremendous growth. I show my students how to problem solve when they aren't sure how, ask them meaningful questions, and am always wanting to learn with my students. I demonstrate how to be resilient in our collaborative quest for knowledge by not giving up and working hard!

This is my 5th year at SGCE. Sage Canyon Elementary is my ideal school to work at.  I have three little boys, and I always dreamed of finding a school to teach at that I felt was the best of the best. This amazing school is better than I could have ever imagined. I am so blessed to be part of the parent community at Sage Canyon as well. My two oldest boys are proud Wranglers in 1st & 2nd grade.

I am married to the love of my life and best friend, Adam. We live in Parker and love spending time with our families that live close by. In our free time, we have a cozy and special cabin in the mountains. We escape there as often as we can. My favorite subjects to teach are Science & Literacy.
